Hello, everyone! We at Team Visionary hope that you’ve had a great week.
If you’re a Minecraft player, you’ve at one point tried a resource pack… and if you haven’t, you’re really missing out on what the game has to offer! After all, Minecraft’s default textures are charming, and some of the new item textures especially have certainly hit the upper limits of pixel art, in a great way. Still, after years — over a decade, for some of us — of looking at the same pixels arranged in the same way, it can get kind of old.
That’s why we’ve made this collection of awesome Minecraft Resource Packs for you to enjoy while fishing, fighting, farming, mining and building in this incredible game. These are resource packs of all types of genres, resolutions, designs and themes, since they’re some of the favorite resource packs of our whole team.
If you’re looking for something more specific, do check out our “Best Of” section on our blog, where we group resource pack recommendations (among other things!) by categories and themes — from cute to stylistic to high-performance packs, we’re sure to have something for any kind of Minecraft player!
Arts and Crafts Resource Pack by Team Visionary
Starting off strong on this list is the Arts and Crafts resource pack by our very own Team Visionary! Naturally, we’re very proud of the talented artists and designers of our team who went above and beyond when they made this resource pack! This resource pack took dozens of days in the works, and it’s easy to see how the team’s effort and passion have culminated to create a beautiful project that we hope you can all enjoy, no matter what kind of player you are.
Arts and Crafts by Team Visionary is a resource pack modelled and designed after a minimalistic “papercraft” theme. This lovely resource pack enhances your world with vibrant and beautiful colors that are sure to lift your spirits. Personally, this filled me with tons of nostalgia for the papercraft projects that I used to do as a kid for art projects, though of course, I wasn’t nearly as good as the artists who created this resource pack. Take a look at some alternative items such as some of the best minecraft skins here.
Besides having a fantastic and unique theme, this Arts and Crafts Resource Pack is also extremely well-drawn, with a cheery color palette and smooth, simplistic detailing on every block. Of course, the mobs, items and entities have also been given a complete makeover that has greatly enhanced both their colors and artstyle. Just look at how cute and cuddly the zombies look now! (But please don’t actually go cuddle them, for your health and safety…)
This resource pack also comes with 20 charming custom skins in a similar style, ensuring that you’ll be getting your money’s worth in every way. After all, why stop at changing how your world looks, when you can also change how you look, into anything you could ever dream of? Jump right in — explore, mine, fight and farm in a brand new, never before seen world with the Arts and Crafts Resource Pack by Team Visionary!

PVP : Midnight Warrior by Tetrascape
Looking to enhance your PvP experience? We can think of no other better texture pack than PVP: Midnight Warrior, by Tetrascape! Despite its name, this lovely minimalistic resource pack is great for all sorts of players, whether or not you’re looking to exert your dominance over other players. However, it’s extra helpful for PvPers out there as the pack puts tons of emphasis over cleaning your GUI, HUD and overall textures so that there’s nothing distracting you on your warmongering rampage.
The resource pack comes with custom particles to minimize distraction, a custom GUI with a much cleaner layout that players of all sorts are sure to appreciate. It also shortens the texture of weapons such as swords, and decreases the effect of fire for added visibility during battle. Some other little additions include outlined ores for easier discovery, clearer glass, and much more. Essentially, this pack focuses on minimizing all the clutter that can come with the default Minecraft resource packs — and we can all benefit from that, sometimes!

Space Stations Textures by Owls Cubed
Have you ever wondered what’s out there past the atmosphere, in the cold dark beyond? If your answer was a resounding yes, like mine, then Space Stations Textures might be the perfect Minecraft resource pack for you! After all, why do the same old boring mining, farming, building routine on Earth, when you could do it all in space instead?
Space Stations Textures by Owls Cubed comes with custom, sci-fi textures for every block, item and entity that’ll be sure to make your world feel like a planet or spacecraft floating through space. Perhaps most impressive is its texturing of mobs and monsters, which makes all the familiar creatures of Minecraft look like they fell straight from space. The pack also comes with tons of animated textures, multiple block variations for aesthetic preferences. Plus, it comes with a whopping 22 skins!!! Definitely a great bang for your buck!

Wanderlust by Pathway Studios
Minecraft’s textures, while charming, can sometimes appear dull and blocking to those used to a more immersive artstyle in their video games. If you’re one of these people, worry no more! With Wanderlust’s incredibly detailed and nuanced aesthetics, you’ll enjoy every second exploring all those caves and corners that you were ignoring.
Wanderlust sticks true to the default Minecraft look, adding their own charming twist to it along the way. Using a 32x semi-realistic style, this pack offers twice the resolution as default textures. Despite the higher resolution though, it remains easy to run on almost all computers, even the older ones!
Fantasy+ by Novaegg
Fantasy+ blew us away when we first saw it — it’s self-described as the embodiment of a “classic arcade fantasy style”, but that does no justice to the style. Not only is the palette made up of wonderfully muted, yet cheery colors, the art itself is extremely well-drawn and detailed despite being just a 16×16 pack.
This pack will certainly send some long-time gamers back in time with its retro style, reminiscent of old Gameboy Advance and handheld console games. Fantasy+ also promises a full, quality retexture of every item, block and entity in the game, immersing your whole world with the beautiful
Conclusion
Sometimes you play Minecraft to fight and destroy your friends in minigames. Sometimes to speedrun the ender dragon and test the limits of mortal hubris. But sometimes, you just want a bit of peace and quiet, spent in the comfort of the pixels that have stayed constant throughout your life.
We hope that this list has given you new ways to appreciate the beautiful, explosively popular game that is Minecraft. However, if you didn’t find a resource pack that was to your fancy, that’s okay — we’ve just published an article on Everything You Need To Know About Making a Minecraft Resource Pack. Maybe you’ll be able to make your own resource pack to fit all your needs!
